Ringing in the New Year - Happy 2009!

One of my favorite events at McMurdo is Icestock. This year, it was decided that Icestock would be held in the evening on New Year's Eve instead of during the day on the 1st of January. My band was asked to headline which meant being on stage to ring in the new year. Included in this blog entry are a few photos from the evening's festivities...

This is a view taken from the second floor of Building 155 looking down on the stage and someone dressed in a skua costume. They even had a girl run in front of them with a blue tray screaming while the bird chased her. That's a common occurrence here at McMurdo.

I was sitting on High Roller, an old military truck the Wasties use, with my friends Chad, Nathan, and Julie earlier in the evening.
