Finally Made It To Castle Rock

I told Andrew last season that I hadn't walked out to Castle Rock ever before because I needed there to be something for me to return to McMurdo to do. Whenever I go somewhere, I never try to see and do everything the place has to offer. What would I do if I went back again? I also hadn't hiked out to Castle Rock because it was a minimum three hours walk round-trip. Andrew came back this season and was in McMurdo on his way to spend the season at WAIS Divide camp. While he was here, we walked out to Castle Rock on a Thursday night after work. We took our time and took lots of goofy photos and ended up back in town four hours after we had left. It was a great walk and nice to catch up with Andrew before he headed out in the field. And now I just have a visit to the South Pole on my list of things I haven't done yet.
