Greetings from New Zealand!!
I have recently arrived in Christchurch, New Zealand. As soon as we arrived here, I was able to meet up with Leighton, the guy who my bag is being sent to the Antarctic Center in care of. He was really wonderful and immediately went into the computer system and made a note that I am going to Antarctica. Leighton has come up with two possibilities to where my bag is. One: it's sitting at O'Hare tagless and Two: Someone stole it. I'm hoping for option 1. In the mean time, he has told me to start buying things I'll need and to keep receipts. He said it's my decision to fly down to McMurdo on the first flight. I could wait here and fly down either on the second or fourth flight (the third will be strictly cargo), but then I'm not able to fly with all of the amazing people I've met this week. But if I stay, I'll be on the payroll plus I'll get my perdium each day which is more than enough to live on. Not sure what I'm going to do. For now, I'm off to meet some friends for lunch in Cathedral Square. Tomorrow we are being issued our Extreme Cold Weather gear (ECW).

you could resupply at the wootoff!
ECW - thats awesome!
although it'll probably just end up being blaze orange or have a big Packers logo on it
BG- I have all my technology stuff. It's CLOTHES I'm missing!!
Eric- You only have to wear green and gold in Wisconsin. Down here they prefer you to wear something red... I'm sure that's so you don't get lost in a snowstorm! :)
Awe, New Zealand is beautiful!
I hope you have a great time.
